<p> DIED. ANITA MORRIS, 50, actress; of cancer; in Los Angeles.
Morris' five-alarm blend of the erotic and the ridiculous made
her a star in the 1982 Broadway musical Nine. Her showstopper
was a song in which she seduced a lover over the telephone after
pretending to deliver A Call from the Vatican. The number was
deemed too raw for the Tony Awards broadcast, even though Morris
was a nominee. Best screen role: Danny DeVito's scheming, Dustbuster-addicted
mistress in Ruthless People.
